NAACP AOW Annual Dinner at Tacoma Glass Museum

Attended the NAACP AOW Annual Dinner, “A Night at the Museum,” at Tacoma Glass Museum. Honored for contributions to Washington’s reparations proviso alongside leaders, activists, and Mrs. Globe queens, celebrating justice, unity, and collective progress. 

Wisconsin Collaborative Summit

Delivered Advocacy Excellence™ Training to 100+ service providers at the Wisconsin Balance of State Annual Collaborative Summit in Baraboo. Led four sessions focused on housing and homelessness, building confidence and strengthening advocacy skills. 

Minding My Black Owned Business Event

Attended the NAACP AOW State Area Conference event at JaRays Grill and Lounge. Celebrated Black-owned businesses, built connections, and highlighted civic engagement through CEOC service in conversations with leaders and elected officials.

Entrepreneurship Panel at Garfield High School

 Spoke on a panel at Garfield High School about entrepreneurship, sharing a personal advocacy journey. Students also learned from Tuskegee Airmen presenters, making the day impactful, inspiring, and filled with meaningful connections.  

NAACP Backyard Boogie

Attended the NAACP’s Backyard Boogie hosted by the NW regional president. Connected with leaders from Olympia and the Office of Administrative Hearings during an afternoon of music, conversation, and community focused on civic engagement.

Appointment to King County CEOC

Appointment to King County CEOC

Appointed by unanimous vote to King County’s Citizens’ Election Oversight Committee, representing the Black community. This role strengthens accountability, transparency, and voter engagement, ensuring community voices are heard in elections. 

Juneteenth Presentation in Palm Springs

Presented on the history and significance of Juneteenth at an international women’s event in Palm Springs, hosted by Mrs. Globe. Highlighted themes of survival, legacy, and empowerment while inspiring women to rise and build with purpose. 

KD Hall Foundation 10-Year Anniversary

Attended the KD Hall Foundation’s 10-year anniversary fundraiser supporting Girls on the RISE. The program equips high school girls with leadership, wellness, and financial tools. The evening celebrated mentorship, education, and youth empowerment. 

Cities United Tour in King County

 Participated in the Cities United tour focused on safe, healthy, and hopeful communities for Black men and boys. Joined local leaders, youth, and Progress Pushers to share strategies, build partnerships, and highlight youth-led community analysis. 

Tacoma Beauty & Business Block Party

Connected with Black and Brown-owned businesses at Tacoma’s Beauty & Business Expo. Interviewed by Talk Tacoma Media, sharing the mission to empower individuals navigating housing instability, dependency, and cycles of poverty. 

VIP Guest at Japiculture Annual Gala

Attended the Japiculture Annual Gala as a VIP guest, celebrating culture and supporting humanitarian work benefiting orphans in Zambia. The evening fostered connections, honored creative advocacy, and highlighted nonprofit collaboration for global impact. 

Testimony at Washington State Legislature

Testified in Olympia in support of the Charles Mitchell Study on Reparative Action, joining WENA, NAACP, SAARC, and community leaders. The hearing highlighted civic engagement, coalition-building, and the power of lived experience in shaping policy. 

Youth Community Connection with YWCA

Led workshops on self-worth and social media image at YWCA’s Youth Community Connection in South Seattle. Engaged youth impacted by domestic violence and foster care, with young men especially stepping up to share, reflect, and show gratitude. 

8th Annual Global Beauty Awards in Bellevue

Attended the 8th Annual Global Beauty Awards as a VIP guest and presenter, honoring changemakers across industries. Presented the People’s Choice Award and connected with leaders, highlighting the importance of purpose, impact, and community.

Attended the 2025 Vision House Luncheon, supporting efforts to end family homelessness. Joined community leaders and advocates in highlighting relational poverty, long-term solutions, and the importance of sustained support for families in crisis.

Spoke at Tacoma SOTA’s Multicultural Showcase, sharing a message of empowerment and self-advocacy. Students responded with gratitude, including one who said she felt seen and valued, underscoring the impact of uplifting voices and stories.

 Supported Ebony Fashion Week’s Foster & Fashion fundraiser, showcasing foster youth stories through fashion. Shared the mission of self-advocacy with attendees, sponsors, and participants while building meaningful community connections.

Participated in the Dope Black Women 253 promotional shoot, spotlighting women leaders during Women’s History Month. Shared Advocacy Queen’s mission, built partnerships, and connected with potential funders to expand impact. 

African Achievement Awards Presenter

 Represented at the African Achievement Awards in Washington State, serving as a presenter. The event celebrated global excellence while supporting local and international communities, bringing together dignitaries and leaders from around the world.

Sponsored the Trendsetters Academy Fashion Gala, a program building confidence and life skills through modeling for diverse communities across Washington. Celebrated the transformation of participants and the team’s success in empowering individuals with style and purpose. 

Day Three Advocacy Excellence in Green Bay

Delivered Advocacy Excellence Training for providers from We All Rise, Casa Alba, Freedom House, a local hospital, and the school district. The session equipped staff with strategies to strengthen advocacy and ended with a standing ovation from participants.

Day Two Training at House of Hope Green Bay

Led both Advocacy Self-Defense Boot Camp for clients and Advocacy Excellence Training for staff at House of Hope in Green Bay. The dual sessions strengthened community members’ confidence and reinforced staff accountability in serving those in crisis. 

Day One Training at House of Hope Green Bay

Launched a transformative Advocacy Self-Defense session at House of Hope in Green Bay. Participants gained vital tools, and a career advisor from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College praised the impact, opening doors for future partnerships. 

Eviction Court Support in Washington State

Provided direct advocacy in eviction court, standing alongside a community member facing housing instability. With 22 years of lived experience in Washington, brought passion and action to cut through red tape and fight for housing justice. 

Royal Retreat 2024 in Anegada, BVI

Contributed as a speaker at the Royal Retreat in Anegada, British Virgin Islands. Joined leaders from across the region to empower participants in confidence, self-advocacy, and personal growth while building connections on a global stage. 

BUILD 206 11th Anniversary Celebration

Attended the 11th anniversary of BUILD 206, a grassroots organization empowering Black men as leaders and mentors. The evening celebrated pride, perseverance, and the power of community collaboration to create lasting change.

Collaboration with BIMA

Reconnected with a former case manager in a powerful full-circle moment, now partnering with BIMA (Believing in Myself Again). Together, both organizations will collaborate on projects to empower communities toward independence and self-sufficiency. 

Eastside Leadership Conference at Microsoft

Attended the 2024 Eastside Leadership Conference hosted by Microsoft and Bellevue Chamber. Connected with policymakers, business owners, and community leaders while engaging in discussions with candidates for Governor and Attorney General on Washington’s future. 

Green Bay Advocacy Self-Defense Boot Camp

Partnered with House of Hope in Green Bay for a three-day initiative. The program included Advocacy Excellence Training, a private Advocacy Self-Defense course, and a public boot camp at the YMCA on October 26, 2024, equipping participants to navigate systems with confidence.

Backpack Giveaway with Black Coffee Northwest

Supported Black Coffee Northwest and Community Passageways in hosting a Seattle backpack giveaway with food, games, and free hair braiding. The event prepared youth for school while fostering community connection and family fun. 

Central District Community Safety Meeting at Garfield High

Participated in the July community safety meeting at Garfield High School with local leaders, residents, and the Black Coffee team. Discussions centered on collaboration, grassroots leadership, and building solutions to address gun violence. 

Grand Opening of The Empress Suite

Celebrated the launch of The Empress Suite, a Black-owned evening gown boutique founded by Amber Bruce. The event highlighted inclusion and body diversity, showcasing stunning gowns designed to empower women of all sizes with beauty and confidence.

Community Reinvestment Education Forum

Participated in the Community Reinvestment Education Forum at Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center. Shared resources on business support grants, career acceleration, and financial coaching as part of Washington’s $200 million reinvestment project.

Featured in Canvas Rebel’s “Stories & Insights” to share the journey, inspiration, and mission behind Advocacy Queen. The article highlighted leadership, lived experience, and commitment to empowering communities through advocacy. 

Standing on Business Women’s Workshop

Spoke as a panelist at Pitch Black Entertainment’s “Standing on Business” workshop at the Alderwood Boys & Girls Club. The free event, held in honor of Mother’s Day and Mental Health Awareness Month, uplifted women through stories, strategy, and connection. 

Africa Fashion Week Seattle 5th Anniversary

Attended Africa Fashion Week Seattle’s 5th anniversary celebration at Vasa Park Resort. The evening highlighted culture, fashion, and community, uniting diverse voices in a showcase of heritage and creative expression.

Hosted a four-part virtual series in May 2024 focused on navigating differences with grace. Sessions equipped participants to build understanding, find common ground, and stand firm in their values while fostering unity in divided times.

Attended the Central District Community Safety Meeting at Garfield High School with city and county representatives. Spoke on the value of partnerships, funding, and street teams while engaging residents in solutions for safer neighborhoods.

Attended the Washington State Fair Foundation’s Rock the Roller Coaster event with Representative Kelly Chambers. The fundraiser supported scholarships for students and featured the Daffodil Princesses, celebrating education and community spirit.

Engaged young women at the Girl to Goddess™ event with powerful “I am” affirmations, supported by Family First Community Center, QueenCare, and local leaders. The day fostered confidence, growth, and community connection.

Launch of Self-Defense Bootcamp

Kicked off the first Advocacy Self-Defense Bootcamp in February 2024, offering free training for low-income and underserved participants to build skills in navigating systems, documenting needs, and enforcing rights with confidence.

Served as guest speaker on Push Start Ministries’ “Dealing with Pain” series hosted by Darius Lafferio, contributing perspective on navigating challenges and building resilience during the live-streamed program.
